Bombardier is a project orientated business. We deliver unique products and services to well-known customers with increasing complexity. Project Commercial Management combines many different specialities, each of which contributes to the flawless execution of our projects to satisfy our customers.

As a graduate within project commercial management you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills as you immerse yourself in the project management life cycle.

You will join a two-year intensive training programme with a series of placements in at least 2 different projects around the business and within the PCM community, providing a firm foundation in the application of Project Commercial Management knowledge, skills, tool and techniques.

Working closely with our Legal Team (where applicable) placements typically include:

- Project launch (if possible)

- Change Management

- Risk & Opportunity Management

- Requirements Management

- Contractual Management

- Commercial Management (including understanding customer behaviour and preparing Variation Orders)

On the job learning is complemented by a modular personal development programme. Supported by a mentor you will work towards gaining a relevant professional qualification.

Joining the team in Derby will mean working on real assignments and gaining hands-on experience with responsibility from day one. You will have a chance to build a personal network within the wider business in order to develop overall business awareness, share best practice and foster cross functional working.


You will need a minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or Masters’ degree, preferably in a business or legal related discipline, supported by excellent analytical skills, commercial acumen, creative thinking and strong leadership qualities. An interest in technology is desirable
