We are currently looking to recruit a Project Lead Engineer for our site in Derby, United Kingdom.


As a Lead Project Engineer, you will lead, manage and control all engineering-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule. You also will ensure that "lessons learned" and best practices are applied on projects and transferred to new projects.


- Lead all aspects of design, implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules.

- Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments and with relevant functions (Project Management, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Bids)

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure process milestones are achieved on time

- Continuous optimization of Project Engineering processes/tools/behaviors by considering business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions

- Monitor, control and report monthly all product related financial aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals

- Ensure that relevant skills are made available by the Engineering Function to fulfil project requirements.


Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or Business;

Analytical skills to understand interfaces and impacts with other technical domains;

Excellent leadership skills; proven experience in leading one or more teams of experts in engineering;

Proven ability and experience in implementing strategy initiatives;

Extended experience in leading the technical scope of customer delivery projects;

Proven ability to solve complex problems, analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgement;

Experience in maximizing sustainability by making good decisions and monitoring them;

Relevant experience with budget, project and resources planning;

Very good understanding of engineering processes and tools (preferable Primavera);

Previous experience working in a complex, multinational environment;

Ability to efficiently interact with different departments within the organization;

Structured, driven and process-oriented person;

Excellent communications skills both written and spoken;

Proficiency in English.
