Join us as a Senior Regional Commodity Buyer

The Regional Commodity Buyer (RCB), must be able to negotiate contracts and successfully onboard new supplier to the BT supply Base. He/she must manage and monitor the supplier contractual obligations with his / her dedicated supplier starting at NTP(Notice to Proceed) until the Handover to the Commodity Buyer Execution (CBE) after the Parts Approval Process (PAP).

The RCB must conduct RfQ´s and manage the material budget for his / her own scope.

He /he has to ensure the supplier delivered goods or services are at the required quality and On-time and secure the Ramp-up Phase of the Project.

The RCB drives procurement activities through the use of professional sourcing and purchasing practices and techniques and ensure parts/services/goods availability while optimizing overall cost and inventory at the lowest level and highest quality.

Key responsibilities and challenges:

 Negotiate, place and manage purchase contracts / orders / scheduling Agreements and suppler invoices for assigned commodities and services with the support of the Global Procurement Center

 Satisfy Division internal and external customers and protect project interests through proper and timely handling and/or expediting of relevant supplier related requests

 RCB to manage order- and claim management processes and charge back process for their area of responsibility until Handover, including closure

 Fully utilize the current ERP-based production management system

 Set up performance Reviews with his / her supplier on regular Base.

 A/R to charge back costs to Supplier for his / her dedicated commodity or scope in case of non-conformities to contractual Requirements based on input provided by other Functions

 Explore continuously material and inventory cost reduction opportunities


• Typically 5-8 years’ relevant experience

• University degree or equivalent through experience, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success.

• Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply

• Experience in Procurement and / or project management

• Sourcing and Procurement Planning - Applies the knowledge and practical experience of sourcing processes and strategies.

• Negotiating / Influencing skills

• Contracting, Legal & Compliance knowledge

• Supply Chain Risk and Opportunity Management abilities

• Supplier Performance and Improvement Management abilities
