Join us as Regional Commodity Manager and you’ll be looking

Purpose of the role:

Ensure the development and implementation of Commodity Sourcing strategies into the organisation.
Accountable for supplier development activities.
Drive Regional Commodity Buyer in their activities and act as escalation point. Responsible for development of Regional Commodity network.
Leads commodity team ensuring acquisition, development and management of talents.

Your responsibilities will include:
Act as Talent Champion
• Develop competences of procurement professionals (Regional Commodity Buyers)
• Develop material cost reduction skills
• Stimulate cross-functional interaction
• Develop total cost of ownership approach
• Manage performance, provide feedback and support team members

Establish Commodity Sourcing strategies and develop supplier ‘best in class’ performance
• Optimize supply base, create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across Projects
• Support and drive standardization
• Supplier performance monitoring and development
• Supplier relation management with panel suppliers

Support material bids
• Validate Sourcing Plans with bid coordinator
• Support tender/bidding process for key bids
• Validate Procurement BB inputs for the category

Manage material cost reduction activities
• Implement Frame agreements
• Negotiation of best terms and conditions for major supplier contracts or correct Sourcing mandate allocation thereof
• Support major claim processes
Communicate & share information and best practices
• Build contact network external, cross divisional, cross functional & coerce cooperation wherever needed
• Perform regular and structured reviews of strategies and network strategic actions
• Ensure 2-ways-communication with regions

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree, Commercial Degree with commodity related background complemented by a demonstrated track record of success
• >5 years of experience in procurement related role, including minimum 2 years in strategic sourcing, advanced knowledge in products/categories
• Management skills within metrical organizations
• Solid financial knowledge, in particular, experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings
