Purpose of the job:

Lead and co-ordinate the team activities as well as to ensure the development of the Purchasing team. Increase global sourcing in own area of responsibility. Act as escalation point for own team to suppliers and internal stakeholders. Might procure complex files and support material bids.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Recruit best in class procurement personnel

- Responsible for growth and development of direct reports, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions

- Develop competences of procurement professionals and material cost reduction skills

- Stimulate cross-functional interaction

- Develop total cost of ownership approach

- Manage performance, provide feedback and support team members

- Support material bids

- Distribute workload to ensure delivery

- Maintain processes and tools

- Coordinate with project leaders (Project Management (PM), Site Procurement, Engineering, Quality) and manage interfaces with other Procurement teams

- Continuously explore material cost reduction opportunities

Qualifications

- Engineering Degree, Commercial Degree with commodity related background

- Good commercial awareness and knowledge of several functions and how their processes and resources interact with other disciplines

- Over 5 years of relevant work experience

- Solid to advanced experience of procurement business processes and tools

- People management skills

- Fluency in English
