About the role:

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Auditor performs software quality assurance function for the projects by assessing the software quality assurance plan (SQAP). The plans and carries out periodic reviews of software quality assurance activities to ensure the timely delivery of the software design area.

Your Responsibilities

- Write and maintain the Software Quality Assurance Plan in line with Software Project Management Plan
- Objectively evaluate selected performed processes and work products against the Software Quality Assurance Plan and/or further applicable process descriptions, standards, and procedures
- Carry out audits, inspections or reviews on the overall project (as instantiations of the generic development process) as appropriate in various phases of development
- Asses and follow up on software projects checkpoints; collect project metrics with the help of the project team and suggest corrective actions for the deviations as needed
- Communicate software quality issues and ensure the resolution of noncompliance issues with the staff and managers
- Establish and maintain records of software quality assurance activities (evaluation logs, status reports)
- Deliver software quality related training to the project team
- Support the project team in software quality aspect
- Identify lessons learned that could improve processes
- Perform the root cause analysis on SW development process deviation and escaped defects


- Min. bachelor´s degree or equivalent, preferably in the field on software engineering or electrical engineering.
- Relevant technical experience (preferably rail, automotive, embedded software development, aerospace, device development – audio, information systems)
- Expertise in at least one area: SW development, quality management, documentation management, configuration management
- Experience in conducting audits reviews (document and SW development processes)
- Experience in project coordination or project management is a plus
- Knowledge about the CENELEC norm EN50128 or EN50657 is an asset
- Knowledge of rail products and safety and performance area is an asset
- Good understanding of the software development process at least in two areas: requirement management, SW design, SW Development, SW Testing, Test automation, SW integration, external assessment, ISO, IRIS certification
- Good understanding of the SW delivery
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in international multi-site teams
