What are your contributions to the team?

 

  • As a member of the Airworthiness department at Bombardier, you will represent the regulatory authority for the approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements and continued safety
  • Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, and regulatory authorities to ensure products comply with domestic and international certification requirements while supporting established objectives and deadlines
  • Lead all certification phases of projects: establish certification basis, agree on means of compliance and authority involvement, demonstrate and record compliance, and certify the design
  • Provide regulatory and airworthiness process guidance to engineering, management, and production crews
  • Follow defined safety processes to establish teams that will assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies, representing Bombardier in discussions with regulatory authorities
  • Continuously assess the risks associated with your projects and establish risk mitigation plans
  • Prepare and present governance or action follow up for these projects for a variety of audiences and management levels

How to thrive in this role?

 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Have 3 to 5 years’ experience in engineering project management, design engineering, or airworthiness.
  • You possess developed competencies related to Project engineering and have a good understanding of aircraft functionality.
  • You have experience in the aviation industry and in dealing with government authorities/certification regulations. SMS and/or design (change) approval experience is an asset.
  • You are comfortable and have experience working in multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
  • You are organized/self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple simultaneous projects in a high-paced environment. 
  • You possess great relational acumen and excellent social/interpersonal skills.
  • You are an excellent communicator capable of conveying complex technical concepts to a diverse audience (technical, management, regulatory) verbally and in writing.
  • You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) and research skills. VBA experience is an asset.
