Join us as Manager, Procurement and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Escondido, California.

As a Manager, Procurement you will plan, organize, source and procure materials necessary for the operation and maintenance of the COASTER and SPRINTER train service, including Maintenance of Way, Communications and Signals and Facilities. You will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies from vendors as well as evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers. You will also be responsible for the material distribution to Bombardier assigned sites.

Your responsibilities will include: :

- Negotiate subcontracts and track their performance;
- Monitor MBE goals, achievements, and reporting to the customer;
- Identify supplier base and obtain quotes from vendors;
- Manage inventory without hindering production;
- Procure parts and consumables in compliance with customer policies;
- Assist in quoting new jobs, working with vendors to obtain the best price;
- Ensure accuracy of part numbers, delivery dates and vendors;
- Coordinate and supervise storehouse operation, including the personnel;
- Expedite material dates and define storeroom manpower requirements;
- Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager to ensure completion of inspection for incoming parts and preservation and storage of perishable material.


Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in purchasing or warehousing of maintenance parts and materials, with five (5) years of railroad experience;
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience;
- Good proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
