In your role, you will:

Responsible for managing and directing the maintenance activities of assigned aircraft and maintaining compliance with all FAA and manufacturer’s requirements. Manage all aircraft maintenance including equipment repair, aircraft cleanliness, and maintenance of required aircraft inventory.

• Coordinates training and certifications, work assignments, scheduling vacation, monitoring attendance, review, approve, and ensure accuracy of employees hours worked and time off
• Ensures the overall airworthiness of all BBAD Flight Ops demonstrator aircraft, engines, accessories and appliances
• Have overall responsibility for the aircraft inspection and airworthiness prior to release for flight, as well as assessing whether a return to service flight is required post maintenance
• Support and maintain department plan for IS-BAO certification and overall Safety through establish and monitoring safety policies and procedures
• In conjunction with the Chiefs of Maintenance coordinate functions that may have an impact on maintenance control (Flight crews, scheduling, project management)
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on all matters concerning maintenance operations
• Liaise with any external agency that may have an effect on maintenance operations
• Monitors new aircraft completion for Demonstration aircraft
• Maintains and tracks all loose equipment/cabin stock inventory. In conjunction with Finance manager delivers a quarterly reconciliation report.
• In conjunction with applicable Chief of Maintenance prepares and monitors annual operating budgets. Reports deviations from estimated expenditures and actual costs to management with explanations in accordance with company procedure.
• Establishes and maintains oversight of maintenance records as required by federal regulations, vendors and company policies. Reviews records maintained by the computerized maintenance tracking service.
• Establishes best industry standards for training of maintenance department staff by analyzing available training sources including aircraft maintenance training, engine run training, aircraft taxi training, ground school training, personal development training and prepackaged learning courses.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director Flight Operations

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

• You would typically have a minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a corporate aircraft maintenance facility environment
• You will have experience with online maintenance tracking tools (CAMP)
• You will have an A&P or otherwise appropriately certificated under FAR part 65
• You will have working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures
• You will have working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application
• You will have accounting and budgeting principals acumen necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programs
• You will have working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations
• You will have verbal and Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and at all levels throughout the organization
• You will have business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence
• You will have presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with customers and all levels of management
• You will have planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting.
• You will have leadership skills necessary to make decisions with sound judgment, train and mentor employees for improved performance, and guide day-to-day operations successfully
• You will have research and analytical skills necessary to collect, analyze general trends within the applicable aircraft market
• You will have computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, email, and web-based applications
• You will have working knowledge of SAP maintenance transactions as required by site
• You will have working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft
• You will have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments
