We are currently looking to recruit a CoE Non-Infrastructure Environment Engineer based in Hennigsdorf, Germany (other possible hiring locations are Crespin and Derby).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the Head of the CoE by being accountable for the CoE technical domain and the lead of the CoE global expert network, the assurance of capacity and capability within the CoE and the successful and efficient execution of the work in all projects across all product families and sites in the technical domain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure global capability of specialist resources to meet current and future demands

- Regularly assess capabilities and develop capability improvement plan and recommend and lead the training action plans and programs

- Attend Design Gate Review and ensure proper application of standards and best practices

- Capture and understand requirements to govern the convergence

- Define and drive implementation of harmonized processes, tools and templates and ensure their maintenance

- Define and maintain standard tool landscape, processes, documentation (Concepts, Verification and Validation Plan, Test Specification etc.)

- Propose strategic development needs and required R&T activities, in agreement with the Product Engine, to secure innovative and competitive products

- Identify and assess market trends and opportunities considering BT strategic development directions and related product roadmaps

- Drive implementation of proven and innovative solutions in line with the Product Management roadmap

- Establish and maintain performance roadmaps including legislation and innovations serving the product roadmaps

- Ensure global capacity of specialist resources (on cycle/off cycle) meets current and future demands (aligned with Product Engine and Family Requirements)

- Understand KVP’s and ensure proper assessment of their value for the customer

- Support the Product Family’s in promoting solutions aligned to the Customers Ecosystem and Operational needs

Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in engineering or PhD or equivalent

- Minimum of 10 years engineering experts experience in the specific technical domain

- Structured, driven and process-oriented person able to lead a team of experts/specialists

- Budget, project and resource planning experience

- Very good understanding of engineering processes and tools

- Experience on mechanical/electrical design areas

- Very good working experience in an international environment

- Excellent leadership skills

- Visionary thinking and able to implement strategy initiatives in his domain of expertise

- Understand interface and impact with other technical domains

- Have detailed knowledge of the operational ecosystems non-infrastructure environment (this shall include a detailed understanding of safety and reliability requirements and specific provisions)

- Understand the structured approach and details for environmental performance and compatibility and the requirements for validation and demonstration of compliance (additionally, understand track access and crew provisions needed to support validation programs)

- Language skills: English native/business fluent level
