We are currently looking to recruit for an Industrial Cyber Security Engineer (m/f) at our location in Hennigsdorf, Germany

The purpose of the job is to manage (detect, assess, recover) Cyber Security risks for a Bombardier Transportation vehicle platform and lead the definition and implementation of Cyber Security Management concepts for projects derived from the platform based on the principle Cyber Security concept of Bombardier Transportation.


- Ensure robustness of Design via reviews and reduce rework cost through utilization of independent peers at design and gate review in key stages of the product development process e.g. BB selection / BB approval in terms of Cyber Security

- Support projects and bids i.e. ensuring expert support is provided and peer assessment conducted in terms of Cyber Security

- Identify and assess current and future requirements in terms of technical knowledge, legislations and standards, considering BT strategic development directions and related product roadmaps in terms of Cyber Security

- Support consistent application and common understanding of standards and legislation throughout the organization in terms of Cyber Security

- Ensure consistent application of BRARs in the bid process to ensure transparency of risks and mitigations in terms of Cyber Security

- Providing expert advice for problem solving, global continuous improvement and efficiency improvement in terms of Cyber Security

- Contribution to and maintain standard Building Blocks and ensure consistent re-use across product platform / families in terms of Cyber Security

- Define and Produce meaningful metrics & KPI to measure performance and overall security posture on building block and product level in terms of Cyber Security

- Provide training to efficiently support implementation of harmonized tools and processes in terms of Cyber Security

- Response management on security alerts and events in a timely and effective manner

- Act as deputy or represent CoC ICS Management

- Act as a single point of contact in customer relation for projects in termsof Cyber Security


- Master Degree in engineering (Computer Science, Software & Hardware related); a certification in SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), GIAC Information Security Certification is also desirable
- Minimum of 10 years Computer Science experience (Software & Hardware development/testing)
- Desirable experience in Industrial Cyber Security, in Railway Domain or equivalent (e.g. Aircraft Industry), Development & Architecture of network and/or network based applications, Requirement Management, with homologation and certification process, in management and implementation of Cyber Security technologies and experience with SIEM management, operations and tuning
- Experience in electrical/electronical design areas, dealing with complex requirements, defining system boundaries and external interfaces
- Able for comprehensive generation of concepts and to structure workflow and define process
- Able to guide engineering practitioners
