Join our Hennigsdorf-Berlin site, Bombardier’s largest manufacturing site in Europe and home to the international operations of its division Mainline and Metros. The site covers the full spectrum of skills required to design, manufacture and maintain the world’s most advanced high speed, commuter and regional trains, coaches, metros and light rail vehicles. Our TCMS (Train Control & Management System) department is filled with skilled engineers working day to day to improve and innovate all the synapses that make out the “brain” of our trains.

We are looking for people like you to join our Software Engineering teams to work on our newest projects and take your career to the next level.


If you are comfortable working independently or in teams through the SW application life cycle, you have an analytical mindset and a keen attention to details then jump onboard. You can choose to work in the department that best suit your career path whether your interest lies in development, testing or commissioning it directly on the rolling stock vehicle. You can make an impact in developing high quality rolling stock components and systems from the design phase to the implementation and commissioning for exciting projects that moves millions of people daily.

Your knowledge of C, C#, Java and a deep understanding of technical systems and your attention to detail will be paramount when ensuring proper documentation through all project phases as well on-time and with the proper quality. You will be analysing and transforming requirements into design solutions, test in our laboratories the SW and check if the performance of the software corresponds with the design project requirements and support their validation through physical tests in real environment to reach a required safety level.

Your attention to detail, deep understanding of technical systems, knowledge of railway and rolling stock functionalities will guide you in evaluating the impact of the developed SW functionalities on rolling stock ‘s components and systems on site and abroad.
