Join us as a Test Manager (m/f/d) and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Hennigsdorf, Germany.

As a Test Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of high speed trains projects. You are in charge of the TCMS (Train Control Management System) software test team. You will lead the TCMS Project into validation to achieve a safety assessment. This requires the planning of test executions, documentation, work package definition and reporting, to fulfil the required work packages in budget, quality and on time. The responsibilities to predict, plan and request the required resources within TCMS Testing Team are included in the scope of this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Definition of the testing strategy / test concept and testing tasks for the specific project in alignment with other departments;

• Responsible for a TCMS testing project: plan, coordinate, control and monitor the test project and take ownership of technical solutions, quality, budget and timeline;

• Represent the TCMS testing project and its interest in the TCMS Development and Vehicle team;

• Definition of interfaces to other systems and functions;

• Present TCMS testing project to lower and medium line management;

• Contribute to the improvement of testing process descriptions and tools;

• Contribute at concept creation and software requirements definition or reviews;

• Test documentation and findings report;

• Review and contribution at findings analysis, their safety classification and test documentation;

• Collect inputs and calculates KPI`s;

• Contribute to alignment process with relevant interfaces (e.g. with SW-development, Customers);

• Responsible for managing the capacity and capability of an organisational unit;

• Develop action plans and coordinate testing resources to address and resolve problems as needed. Maintaining close contact with testing team on status of their work, creats and implement plans to improve employee skills, motivation and engagement;

• Ensure that the engineering testing team is focused on meeting the financial, schedule and technical requirements of the test projects they are responsible for;

• Optimize communication and relationships with customers and other functions.


Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;

• At least 3 years of relevant experience on a similar role;

• Experience in working with international teams would be beneficial;

• Good knowledge in test management (planning, monitoring and control), knowledge of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management);

• Testing experience in Real-Time control systems, Embedded Systems;

• Good knowledge in test methods, standards and norms applicable in the railway area;

• Knowledge of Change Management, Documentation Management, Safety Awareness and Project Management;

• Fluency in English, German desirable;

• Good communication and leadership skills, driven for results, details orientated.
