We are currently looking to recruit an METHODS ENGINEER (m/f) for our site in Ilford

YOUR ROLE AND TASKS

Improve manufacturing efficiency through the implementation of competitive and innovative new methods and processes.

Ensure project compliance against customer specifications, engineering specifications, drawings and current legislation. Support the site functions in delivering all of its projects safely, on time, to the quality standards set and at a competitive cost. Manage and resolve technical queries in a timely manner. Undertake project first fit outs. Undertake investigations with site teams, suppliers and customers. First point of contact for technical support for Operations, Procurement and Project Management teams

Create Bills of materials, Create Bills of Labour. Assist with the compiling of bid data. Create, implement and monitor Level 4 and Level 5 plans. Create, implement and support project launch documentation.

Design and implementation of jigs, tooling, stillages. Design of material kits required for use by production teams. Implementation of best practices used across the industry. Undertake audits to ensure compliance to specifications. Support engineering with creation of part numbers and technical support

Create and maintain manufacturing documentation. Produce work record books and work instructions. Ensure all project related information is available via the Ilford Dashboard and is compliant to RISAS and 18001, 9001, 140001 standards / certification. Update and maintain databases with regards to quality. Undertake PPS investigations.

Qualifications

Your Qualifications

-
Apprenticeship/HNC in an engineering discipline

Relevant experience in a similar environment, i.e. rail, heavy engineering or automotive

LEAN manufacturing, Engineering (Electrical and/or Mechanical)
