We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager (m/f) for our site in Ilford

YOUR ROLE

The Operations Manager will bring focus and leadership to the operation. Will be responsible for all aspects of Production performance and the establishment of strong controls and management principles at all levels. Creating a centre of excellence through the implementation and development of best practice. Ensuring that Health, Safety and Quality are kept to a high standard at all times. Establishing Continuous Improvement as a core component of all business processes. To provide a safe working environment for all employees. Ensuring the delivery of all products on time, to quality and cost targets, whilst actively leading and promoting a culture of continuous improvement & inclusion.

Your Tasks

· Responsible for the planning and management of resource within a Production unit.

· Responsible for Production Unit, Health, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

· To successfully achieve product output to the satisfaction of the customer, in terms of on time delivery and quality, at the same time meeting the cost targets of the Business.

· Liaison with support functions to ensure the objectives of the Production Unit are met.

· To promote and develop a culture of Continuous Improvement & Inclusion, ensuring best practice is considered and adopted in all Production Unit activities.

Qualifications

Your Qualifications

· Preferred education to HND or Degree level in Engineering or Business Management or the ability to demonstrate same level of understanding.

· Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes.

· Experience of managing people.

· Ability to develop and encourage teams - coaching and directing.

· Decision making on Manpower Planning, Training & Competency Development, Leave, Annualized hours.

· Ops Manager decisions can have an impact on both the internal organisation and externally in relation to on time delivery to the customer.

· Cost control to keep within budget/contract ie, controllable overheads, consumables & direct material.

· Leadership of Continuous Improvement within the Production Unit
