We are currently looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer (m/f) based in Selhurst, United Kingdom.


This role is responsible for monitoring component usage by the customer and ensuring that cost are correctly allocated to the responsible party (BT, customer, supplier); will encompass the regular review of customer maintenance plans ensuring they are compliant to BTs maintenance schedules; provide technical support and advice to the customer as directed by the engineering manager; will provide support to the BT materials team in the identification of component and assemblies BT/supplier part numbers.


• Support casualty material returns process by the daily review of unplanned materials identifying the party liable for the material repair cost.

• Participate as part of the engineering team reviewing component failure data to identify trends, taking ownership of specific components failure modes and proposing mitigating actions / solutions.

• Support the customer / central engineering investigations of major defects. Generation of reports and recommendation of potential solutions.

• Support the engineering manager in meeting the projects obligation on I-form management and safety reviews.

• Support the identification of correct components and assemblies for the BT materials team and the customer.


• General engineering experience/background. HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering;

• Technical Knowledge of the Electro Star or similar platform would be of advantage;

• Computer Literate – Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point;

• Good communication skills at all levels;

• Attention to detail and clear levels of ownership;

• Customer focused.
