Based in Los Angeles, California you will report to the General Manager. You will have the principal responsibility for developing, delivering and managing the Material Management Plan (MMP).

In your role you will:

- Lead the effort to provide any Material or MoW Equipment sourcing and procurements including supporting scope, schedule and cost estimates are submitted to the Authority when requested;

- Ensure that all required documentation necessary to support and successfully pass Audit(s) from local, state and federal stakeholders regarding material sourcing and procurements are performed and filed for easy retrieval;

- Work with public agencies preferably commuter railroads that are subject local, state and federal funding requirements and regulations and must be able to manage budgets and deliver superior service under budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or related field;
- You have 15 years of broad and deep, progressively responsible Contractor experience covering most facets of railroad sourcing, procurement, business administration, budgeting, invoicing, reporting, cost containment for a public agency client preferably commuter railroad;
- You have proven Management Experience and Skills assisting in the management of subcontract, supplier, vendor contracts to achieve best value, favorable life‐cycles, high quality products and services in a timely manner;
- You have prior experience that demonstrates accomplishments that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, streamlining of business administration processes for a Contractor to a public agency preferably a commuter railroad;
- You have knowledge of FTA, FRA and other State and local regulations and practices related to the contracted sourcing, procurement for railroads.
