Based in Los Angeles, California you will report to the General Manager. You will have the principal responsibility for leading, managing and coordinating the Contractor's performance for all railroad wayside signal system, wayside train control/PTC and communication and Level 1 train control system/PTC control center support.

In your role you will:

- Support the effort to provide Work Directive Proposals specifically for the categories for signal, communication, wayside train control systems including assisting in the development of scope, schedule and cost estimates when WD are requested by the Authority;
- Work closely and collaboratively with the AGM Information Technology and the AGM Procurement/Inventory Subcontracted Support services to achieve a highly efficient, streamlined, easily tracked and retrieved digital paperless working business environment with the Authority;

- Work with public agencies preferably commuter railroads that are subject local, state and federal funding requirements and regulations and must be able to manage budgets and deliver superior service under budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or related field;
- You have fifteen (15) years of broad and deep, progressively responsible Contractor or Class 1 Railroad progressively responsible experience ultimate reaching Division Signal/Communication Engineer, Division Signal/Maintenance Manager level covering most facets of planning, budgeting, inspecting, maintaining, rehabilitating, constructing invoicing, material procurement, reporting, cost containment for a client preferably commuter railroad or Class 1;
- You have prior experience that demonstrates accomplishments that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness and regarded among peers as a Railroad infrastructure maintenance subject matter expert;
- You have proven Management Experience and Skills assisting in the management of subcontract, supplier, and vendor contracts to achieve best value, favorable life‐cycles, high quality products and services in a timely manner.
