Purpose of the job

This position sits at our LAX site. The puropse is to provide integration of the logistical support concept which include spares, consumables, special tools and test equipment, harmonized with the O&M mobilization, field repair level and system to ensure timely deployment/availability and uninterrupted operation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

Supplies and coordinates warranty material for warranty depots and first commissioning: Material supply of spare parts and tools during first commissioning and during operations and maintenance. This includes the analysis of the projected Life Cycle Costs as well as the analysis/ evaluation of the material requirements of ongoing projects considering technical experience. The results of this are the definition and timely provision of appropriate material / tools and the provision of adequate logistic support. This requires the development and realization of supply concepts to guarantee the availability of the vehicles.

Preparation of tenders regarding initial equipment (tooling equipment, tools and spares) and Sales support: Evaluation and prosecution of sales opportunities regarding initial equipment or residual materials on the market together with Sales or Project Management. Preparation of according calculations as a basis for the release of the quotation. Participation in negotiations together with Sales/ PM. Coordination of release of the quotation. Management of execution projects regarding initial equipment. Handling of projects regarding initial equipment (material procurement, provision, delivery, invoicing).

Process optimization and organizational development for activities: Further development and implementation of logistics concepts and execution of controlling in the Product Introduction department.

Cost-effective development of the logistics network for smooth execution of initial operation and warranty.

Organizational development of the activities of “Product Introduction Spares”.

Store, inventory control and administration: Controlling of the central warranty stock as well as management of the assigned personnel and infrastructure.

Controlling of the department: Controlling of the key data for the spares department and the handled projects as well as the relevant budgets.

Personnel Management, Performance Appraisal and Personnel Development of the assigned staff.

Implements and enforces HSE requirements on site with the support of HSE team representatives.

Interface management to adjoining functions.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge

Education & Experience Required

- High School Diploma

- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience

- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with team members

- Knowledge of Asset Management systems like Maximo an asset

- Strong MS Office skills
