About the role:

Propulsion control offers a wide range of interesting tasks such as Control Software for electrical drives, energy storage systems or monitoring devices. You will design, implement and test Control Software as platform product as well as for application projects. As part of an international development team you will work with modern development tools and in close cooperation with neighboring functions.

• Clarify and define requirements for specific control solutions
• Specify interfaces to Hardware and sub-systems that interact with the control functions
• Define suitable control concepts, as well as monitoring and diagnosis concepts
• Specify Software architectures for standard solutions which fit into existing software architectures or have to be newly developed
• Implementation of the functions as embedded real-time software solutions
• Verification and validation in real-time simulation environment as well as on the real vehicle
• Working with modern development tools that accompany the software development process
• Support introduction or optimization of development and test tools
• Software development according to standards and norm in daily work (e.g. EN 50657)


• Bachelor / Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in Embedded Realtime Software development
• Experience in digital signal processing
• Good work experience in SW development and simulation tools (e.g. B. C/C#, IEC1131, MatLab/Simulink) according standards (e.g. EN50657)
• Knowledge in requirement- and configuration management and related tool support (e.g. Application Lifecycle Management ALM, DOORS)
• Ability in solution finding and professional documentation
• Good communication skills and Teamwork in international working groups
• Solid written and spoken German and English language
