About the role:

You will be working for the RAM/LCC-Engineering for our locomotive projects which involves strong collaboration and coordination with our departments of Mechanical and Electrical Integration and System Engineering. Existing maintenance plans shall be optimized and maintenance plans for new locomotive projects shall be developed. A close contact and relationship with our Service division for the exchange of field experience feedback shall be kept on a high level.

You will be carrying out calculations for Life Cycle Costs (LCC) and for Reliability- & Availability-figures. These calculations are being used for offers and for projects in execution phase as well as for the development of new locomotive platforms.

The integration of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) into existing and new maintenance plans shall be driven ahead.

Influence “Mobility Solutions” and “Product development” based on specific Ecosystem demand (field data & fleet performance analyses) in cooperation with Regions, Rolling Stock Equipment (RoQ) and Product Engine Rolling Stock (PRS)

FMEAs and FMECAs shall be understood and adapted where necessary. Their impact needs to be evaluated for the creation and optimization of Preventive Maintenance Plans.

New tools for RAM/LCC calculations shall be evaluated and contacts to documentation and sales department shall be set up and kept on a high level.


Technical qualification in the area of electrical or mechanical engineering from university at Bachelor level or similar

In-depth knowledge of rail vehicles and be able to provide evidence of at least 3 years of successful professional experience in field service, warranty and maintenance of locomotives or at least 3 years’ experience in RAM/LCC-Engineering in another mechanical or electrical industrial company
