In your role, you will:

- Develop and continuously enhance the aircraft maintenance program in cooperation with airlines and airworthiness regulatory authorities
- Develop reliable, cost effective maintenance solutions while minimizing aircraft downtime
- Oversee all aspects of maintenance program development across all Commercial Aircraft Programs
- Establish and manage budget to approved SOW
- Maintain effective working relationship and interface with senior maintenance personnel from airlines, suppliers and regulatory authorities
- Be responsible for leading and managing teams in Mirabel and Toronto
- Be responsible for PMPs, and mentoring of 1st level supervision and key project initiatives.
- Answer strategic and complex questions asked by internal customers, authorities, airlines and suppliers
- Review and approve technical proposals, reports and/or presentations
- Lead complex projects by setting the framework strategies
- Develop statement of work, continually monitors progress, develops and leads execution of recovery plans
- Establish and manage budget to approved SOW
- Implement lessons learned, continually modify accepted procedures to improve the business
- Evolve the business by developing industry-leading products, services and maintenance solutions
- Approve technical proposals that affect the overall maintenance cost of aircraft
- Approve work statements for various aspects of the business
- Propose effective and timely solutions/modifications to highly complex problems
- Provide leadership to a team of highly skilled specialists

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Science Program
- You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering environment
- You have strong project management skills and IT project administration imitative experience is considered an asset
- You have strong analytical skills coupled with a high level of technical knowledge
- You have a minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience
- You are dynamic with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, where flexibility is key.
- You exhibit highly complex problem solving skills to negotiate acceptable solution for all parties involved in the development of the maintenance program
- You are innovative in approach in order to discover and develop the benefits of new technologies and processes.
- You have the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal departments, vendors and customers and you have significant experience in managing change.
- You are a strong negotiator with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills including cross-functional teamwork abilities.
- You have a strong Customer Service background, and you have sound knowledge of Bombardier’s Commercial Aircraft Operators. Airline experience is preferred.
- Frequent travel will be required in support of teams at multiple sites, and customer / regulatory events.
