You will be part of the Digital Products team that is focused on one of the top priorities within the organization by introducing, implementing and sustaining Digital Products for Bombardier Aviation customers. You will work in close collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders across the organization such as Product Owners, User Experience UX/UI, Go-To-Market, Sales and Customer Support specialists. In your role, you will:

- Plan and hire a team of technical resources composed of both employees and contractors.

- Plan, organize, follow-up and evaluate the work of the team, including setting yearly objectives & tracking milestones

- Communicate effectively and support decisions and messages to and from management

- Ensure scalability of the technical platform in accordance with program vision

- Support program R&D and scoping activities in order to provide input on technology team’s involvement

- Work closely with the IT infrastructure and security teams in order to ensure digital platform is in adherence to all company guidelines

- Recommend, track and participate in all relevant and/or dependent IT infrastructure projects and/or system upgrades

- Identify security risks and recommend solutions

- Identify and implement improvement opportunities for the digital platform

- Identify overall risks and issue in regard to the digital platform

- Establish technical standards to be adhered to by all technical partners and employees

- Estimate time to accomplish team tasks and commit to meeting all objectives

- Perform other related duties


As our ideal candidate,

- You have 5 to 10 years’ experience managing a team of technical resources

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

- You are able to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively

- You are hands on with Shells, Shell scripting basics.

- You have good experience in cloud security

- You have experience overseeing a team of technical resources, both permanent and contracted

- You have experience with services and container-based architectures

- You have experience working alongside and supporting multiple Agile development teams

- You have experience deploying to leading cloud providers AWS, GCP and Azure

- You have above average expertise in any one programming language- Java, C#, Ruby, Python

- You have experience developing using SDLC (Secure Development LifeCycle)

- You have experience migrating on-premise services to a Cloud environment.

- You are proficient with scripting languages, Python, JavaScript.

- You have experience using SFTP servers in a production environment.

- You have some knowledge of at least one BI tool (PowerBI, Microstrategy, Tableau).

- You have strong understanding and familiarity with the fundamentals of cloud systems administration

- You have the ability to influence others

- You have software design knowledge and practice with application, data, security and infrastructure experience is desirable

- You have experience Integrating complex and unique program/projects with numerous technologies and platforms

- You have experience in Agile Scrum methodology

- You are a thought leader, inquisitive and comfortable in challenging the status quo

- You have ability to work in a matrixed or shared services organizational model

- You are political savvy, seasoned, a natural diplomat who can navigate the organization globally

- You are results oriented, drives others to meet their objectives.

- You have the ability to lead through influence in a complex and evolving environment to meet challenging timelines and organizational goals

- You have interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels

- You have strong oral and written English communications skills and functional French communication skills are desired


- You have experience in Java, JavaScript, HTMML, Kotlin, Swift, Android, etc

- You are an expert at Python, node.js, angular.js
- You are an expert at Kubernetes and/or Docker and/or OpenShift
- You have experience as admin of an SFTP server.
- You have knowledge of SSH technology.
- You are familiar with VPN / VPC environments.
