At Bombardier Specialized Aircraft (BSA), our team works together to develop variants and derivatives of our class leading Challenger and Global platforms – flying missions that range from Medevac to Head of State to Persistent Surveillance. In this role, you will have a team of direct reports in the BSA Strategy team and work closely with Sales, Programs and Engineering to lead BSA’s growth and business development activities.

In this role is you will:

- Oversee the creation and yearly update of the 5-year strategic plan and growth strategy including the cross-functional coordination and detailed plan to meet the BSA growth revenue and EBIT targets.

- Implement effective governance to ensure delivery of the growth strategy.
- Lead the deployment of new elements of the growth strategy.
- Lead periodic updates of the market forecast by working with Sales and Market Analysis.
- Identify market trends and growth opportunities. Lead the development of the strategic and business plan around these opportunities.
- Ensure effective information sharing amongst stakeholders to support BSA growth strategy.
- Manage the collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
- Lead the collaboration with the Government Relations team.
- Develop a set of balanced customer-focused and business-focused performance indices and lead the team in achieving these targets.

As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent field);

- You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aerospace;
- You have 5-10 years of experience in a business development, strategy and market analysis environment with an expertise in business growth, expansion and diversification. Expertise in being able to provide strategic direction on a variety of topics;
- You have solid knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity;
- You are a leader with initiative, able to mobilize and engage both your direct team and supporting teams;
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability synthesize information for executive level briefings and recommendations;
- You are able to develop and guide individuals in the production of comprehensive and compelling materials directed at engineering, operations and executive audiences;
- You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively while working toward aggressive deadlines;
- Working knowledge of Bombardier's policies and processes is an asset;
- You have working knowledge of and are eligible to view and handle Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR);
- Ability to hold a US Secret clearance would be considered an asset;
- Prior experience in Government and/or military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset;
- You may be required to travel domestically and internationally and work extended hours when required.
