In your role, you will:

BP

- Act as point of contact with key stakeholders in respective business unit.
- Control, evaluate and prioritize the Business Information Solutions demand in collaboration with Core functions and Business partners applying an end to end view
- Initiate projects including effort estimation according to project management framework in coordination with other BIS departments and external partners as needed
- Promote standardization, integration and foster innovation

PRJ-ANALYST

- Translate BIS needs into functional and technical requirements, ensure completeness of system requirements in alignment with Bombardier strategy, securing high quality standard.
- Develop end to end understanding of business process and “Business Information Solutions" demand, vision and best practices.
- Support the development, validation and evaluation of the BIS architecture against requirements.
- Lead the creation of functional designs to improve or develop standard BIS (Building Blocks) and services
- Collaborates on projects with other areas of IT to utilize special skill sets or technical knowledge in producing project deliverables
- Maintain key user networks and drive adoption of users towards the usage of standard solutions
- Ensure integration of BIS services across functions supported by BIS Applications and Infrastructure

MGT

- Provide mentoring for employees in assigned area to promote acquisition of functional and technical proficiency
- Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate workload and make job assignments for employees in assigned area
- Provide input for PMP/PDP evaluations of employees in assigned area and apprise employees of technical performance levels for day-to-day assignments
- Support immediate supervisor, for example, cost-benefit analysis, apprise of potential personnel issues, and change management activities
- Assist or develops budgetary projections, monitor expenditures, and reconcile expenditures for projects and sustained activities within assigned area

OPS

- Monitors sustaining activities, projects, and levels of customer service (e.g., performance metrics) for assigned area and report status, issues, and risks to immediate supervisor on a scheduled basis
- Provides technical guidance and expertise in troubleshooting problems reported by end-user(s) for assigned area(s)
- Oversees daily operations for assigned area(s)
- Liaise between business units and other areas of IT in troubleshooting service, hardware, software, and/or telecommunication problems for assigned area(s)

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

You have typically, 5 or more years professional IT experience in one of the IT functional areas, which could include previous IT project management experience

You have typically, 1 to 2 years of experience as a working lead and/or supervisor

You have experience with publication platforms, on-line publishing and digital content development is desired

You have a proven track record in the successful implementation of digital publishing, publications editing, and content development is desired

You have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field OR 2 additional years of equivalent work experience

You have working knowledge of managerial accounting principles

You have working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (e.g., Six Sigma)

You have proficient planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of team members within a multiple project setting

You have good verbal and written communication skills

You have the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
