We are looking for qualified Train Conductors interested in operating commuter trains on the "Agence Métropolitaine de Transport" (AMT) contract based in the greater Montreal area, Quebec.

Conductors are accountable to ensure that train movements are operated in a manner that will provide safe and on-time operations consistent with the objective of providing the highest quality service to the public, respecting all rule and regulations as well as local regulations of the host railways over which the train is being operated.

In your role you will:

- Operate trains during various work hours while maintaining alertness, situational awareness and vigilance
- Provide service through the application of a high level of technical expertise related to the safe quality service in order to meet the customer specified train schedule.
- Adhere to established operating rules, speed restrictions and regulatory requirements, initiate remedial action to eliminate undesirable train operation practices and communicate with traffic control any issues or problems that may hinder the safe operation of the system.
- Report and communicate with Maintenance staff in order to correct defects that could affect train performance on the road.


As our ideal candidate:

- You possess a valid driver’s license, a High school diploma and/or a college degree
- You are a Qualified Train Conductor (C.R.O.R – Canadian Railway Operating Rules) and possess experience as a Conductor;
- You must be prepared to work in an enclosed/confined area (locomotive), climbing, lifting, walking and working outside in inclement weather.
- You must be able to maintain required level of fitness as outlined in the Canadian Railway Medical Rules Handbook
- Excellent communication skills: French and English (written and spoken).
- Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with the territory in the Montreal area and have commuter experience.

Additional information: The incumbent of this position must be willing and able to travel and work overtime, odd hours, weekends and various as required.
