Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is Bombardier Transportation’s signaling division. RCS is focused on optimizing the flow of trains and delivering innovative signaling systems which enable the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA as the ITC Sr. Technician, you will be responsible for interfacing and providing field support to rail signaling projects in North America for installation, test, operation, and/or maintenance. You will provide technical expertise to project team members and subcontractors. You will complete testing and reporting for signaling and wayside solutions.

In your role you will:

- Supervise and lead field installation and testing;
- Verify testing and material application;
- Conduct field testing, validate results, and produce reports;
- Support failure research; follow and validate Non-conformity report results during testing;
- Update drawings to reflect “as built” following installation;
- Ensure that the field ITC team and subcontractors are aligned to the central office (Pittsburgh) and project requirements;
- Conduct on-site field inspections;
- Ensure requirements traceability and configuration management;
- Supervise field cutover plans as needed;
- Complete all other duties as assigned.


As our ideal candidate:

- You have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience/certifications;
- You possess six (6) years of experience supporting electrical/automation installation and testing, preferably in rail;
- You demonstrate experience with coordinating technical teams;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You are able to lift forty to fifty (40-50) pounds unassisted;
- You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands;
- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent.

Please note: incumbent will be required to travel domestically and/or internationally as required, approximately 25%.
