Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania you will co-pilot to the project manager to ensure focus on the achievement of the financial goals of the project and provide all required financial information about the project.

You will support Project Management, control the monthly margin realization, monitor and support the Estimate At Completion (EAC) change process, support project planning, and ensure that Bombardier accounting guidelines are respected.

You also will be the single point of contact for all financial issues relating to the specific project portfolio controlled, you will close monitoring of the project deliverables, do early assessment and measuring of financial impact of risks and opportunities with regular follow ups on action plans, and proactively follow and challenge the project cash flow and gross margins.

In your role you will:

- Ensure that project calculations reflect current status of project, that Total Cost At Completion (TAC) are approved and proposed in Global FORE and preparing EAC change requests;
- Input and updating of project calculation in Global FORE and local system (ERP);
- Work out and update Budget and Forecast figures of the project in Global FORE;
- Review and analyse the Estimated-at-completion calculation of the project for Budget, Forecast and Actual in Global FORE and local system;
- Review and Analyse variances between Budget, Forecast and Actual figures and comment on them in monthly Reporting – especially Sales Percentage of Completion (POC), Margin and Free Cash flow, Risk and Opportunities and Contingencies;
- Review and Analyse contract related Balance sheet items with the target of minimization of Net Utilized Assets (Inventory level, Advance Payments, Accounts Receivables, etc);
- Be responsible for customs and customer invoicing, VAT, Receivables and payment control;
- Manage Cash-Flow (i.e. input of project figures in Cash Planner);
- Carry out hedging activities in cooperation with Treasury (if necessary) (FX Planner);
- Determine dispatch instructions, working out, procuring, distributing dispatch documents and if necessary custom documents (including their legalization, if necessary);
- Ensure all relevant shipment activities (Bill of lading, airway bills, packing list, customs invoices, etc.);
- Control Warranty Provisions to the end of the project;
- Insurance cases (freight, maintenance, third party, etc.);
- Require and control securities by the customer (letter of credit, bank guarantees);
- Coordinate commercial affairs of internal partners, i.e. check of inter-company Sales and Purchases (interco matching);
- Provide input parameters for Bid Approval Process and support Blue Book tender activities for variation orders;
- Plan personnel in cooperation with Core Team and Human Resources Business Partner, considering project target costs;
- Control cost and direct hours;
- Control man/hour writing;
- Quantify impact of change orders (profitability calculation) and assess impact on the different cost items in the calculation, (i.e. Bill of material and Engineering hours);
- Maintain an appropriate level of contingencies;
- Keep Project Manager continuously updated on financial situation of project and upcoming risks and opportunities;
- Support Risk and Opportunities Manager and Project Manager by quantifying/assessing project-related exposures/opportunities on an ongoing basis and follow up on the action plans;
- Build and maintain successful cross functional relationships;
- Support Project Manager and/or Claim Manager in commercial negotiations and preparation of claims.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor´s degree in Accounting/commerce;
- CPA designation or MBA will be considered as a very strong asset;
- You possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
- You own solid knowledge or relevant experience of Project Management;
- Experience or knowledge of Manufacturing/Transportation and Supply Chain Management will be considered as an asset;
- You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
- You are able to lift forty to fifty (40-50) pounds unassisted;
- You posses computer skills (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
