Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is Bombardier Transportation’s signaling division. RCS is focused on optimizing the flow of trains and delivering innovative signaling systems which enable the safe and efficient operation of autonomous rail networks and trains.

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the Procurement Sr. Specialist, you will create, maintain and drive the deployment of our sourcing strategies for Electrical, Civil and Wayside Installation sub-contractors. You will partner with project managers, engineering, sales/bids, and project buyers, to identify, negotiate and establish contracts with suppliers and provide project support for delivery and performance.

In your role you will:

- Create and oversee sub-contractor procurement, negotiations, and purchase ranging from $1M to 100M+ in support of signaling projects;
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and sub-contractor/suppliers related to commercial actions;
- Lead all commercial actions required for the management of subcontractor/supplier performance;
- Document all subcontractor/supplier performance results;
- Track all subcontractor/supplier required certifications to perform work though out the life of the project;
- Participate in commercial and technical meetings;
- Conduct supplier evaluations;
- Ensure satisfactory execution and delivery on sub-contractor purchase order requirements;
- Be responsible for maintaining situational awareness of sub-contractor performance on projects;.
- Negotiate and execute any required Change Orders;
- Manage subcontractor/supplier invoice handling to ensure timely payments;
- Ensure all Procurement and Governance processes are followed
- Complete all other duties as assigned.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, Finance, and/or an Engineering discipline;
- You possess approximately 5-10 years of experience in a supply chain/procurement/purchasing role; sub-contractor procurement/management experience will be considered a strong asset;
- Experience overseeing electrical installation or civil work on large-scale engineering projects is preferred;
- A Supply Chain/Procurement Certification will be considered an asset;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess a background in understanding and implementing customer requirements:
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.
