You will be responsible of the human resources for all the manufacturing sites of the Americas region. You will report to the Vice President Human Resources of the region and functionally to the Vice President Operations. Acting as real Business partner, your main responsibilities will be to manage the workforce needs and ensure good labour relations to guarantee the execution of our railroad projects. You will participate in the definition of the transformation plans of these various sites and will assure their execution.

The manufacturing sites are La Pocatière and St-Bruno in Québec, Kingston and Thunder Bay in Ontario and Plattsburgh and Pittsburgh in the United States.
You are managing a team of eight (8) site-based operational HR business partners.

As part of your position, you will be required to:

- Pilot the workforce needs (capacities and capabilities) in the region;

- Define and implement a strategic approach to labour relations for the manufacturing sites;

- Support the VP Operations as well as the site Directors in all the talent management activities;

- Guarantee an ambitious approach to career developments and maximize the engagement of our collaborators;

- Assure the conformity of the HR practices with employment laws and regulations;

- Guarantee the application of our ethics and conformity standards and adjust these ones according to the evolutions of legislation and internal policy;

- Support your team members by defining their operational objectives and development opportunities;

- You will also play an advisor role on a daily basis.


As our ideal candidate, you :

- Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial relations;

- Possess a minimum of ten (10) years experience in a similar position;

- Excellent communication skills in French and English (written and Spoken);

- Hold an experience in a manufacturing and multisite environment;

- Extensive experience in unionized and non-unionized working relationships;

- Available 40% of the time to travel through sites in North America.
