Description

Based in St Bruno, Quebec, you will create, maintain and drive the deployment of the Global Commodity Sourcing strategies until supplier’s selection. For this, you will work closely together with the respective Commodity Buyers for your dedicated Commodity. You will be accountable and responsible for the supplier panel for your respective commodities. You will support the supplier offer and selection process and be accountable for the supplier selection in alignment with the PSC Strategy. You will also negotiate the key contracts and establish frame agreements with suppliers across all Regions. Besides, you will act as an Interface towards other functions and the Global Procurement Center (GPC). You will contribute to optimize the TCO of our products through best in class supply chain and Supplier Relationship Management.

In your role you will:

- Be accountable and responsible to establish the Commodity Sourcing strategies during off-cycle phase and ensure the deployment within the CM network;
- Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across regions and global businesses;
- Category benchmark and intelligence;
- Support and drive standardization;
- Prepare and present category presentations;
- Align early sourcing work plans prior to bid stage with major stakeholders;
- Be accountable and responsible for your dedicated commodity to optimize the supply base by using different tools and levers;
- Be responsible for strategic Approval Assessment (SAA) of supplier;
- Be responsible for the Supplier performance monitoring and quarterly update of the supplier panel;
- Be responsible for the Supplier relation management with global suppliers;
- Be accountable for the execution of the Parts approval process (PAP process);
- Be accountable for supplier Risk monitoring;
- Be accountable to validate the Bid Sourcing Plans with bid management (delta to PSC Strategy);
- Be accountable and responsible to support tender and bidding process for key bids;
- Be accountable to validate Procurement Blue Book (BB) inputs for the category;
- Be accountable and responsible to support global cost reduction initiatives and develop cost reduction potentials for your dedicated Commodity;
- Negotiate best terms and conditions for supplier contracts or correct Sourcing mandate allocation thereof;
- Support major claim processes;
- Be accountable and responsible to communicate the Commodity Sourcing Strategy within the PSC Organization and it´s interfaces;
- Build contact network external, cross divisional, cross functional and foster cooperation wherever needed;
- Perform regular and structured reviews of strategies and network strategic actions;
- Ensure 2-ways-communication with regions.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Commercial with commodity related background;
- You have four (4) to five (5) years of experience in procurement related role;
- You have minimum two (2) years of experience in strategic sourcing;
- You own advanced knowledge in product and category;
- You own experience in matrix organizations;
- You possess financial awareness, in particular experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities and target settings;
- You have excellent English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
