Based in Virginia, US, you will be responsible for coordinate and integrate service and operations.

You will oversee the train operators, dispatchers, operating rule compliance, efficiency testing, training and qualifications of staff, arrange daily and weekly meetings, electronic and telephone communications, and site visits. You will also establish a protocol for 24-hour and 7-days a week emergency contact. You will arrange for regular delivery and internal distribution of daily bulletins, special instructions, division notices, or any other publication of operating information issued by any potential clients.

In your role you will:

- Direct all transportation activities to ensure safe, prompt and courteous service to potential clients in accordance with corporate policies, practices, government regulations, rules and special instructions;
- Asses all train performance reports and interfaces regularly with host railways rail traffic control centers railway operating officers to ensure coordination and daily performance of train operations and to immediately respond and correct deviations to the operating plan;
- Ensure training and refresher program is developed and in place to upgrade and maintain a high level of competence for train operators;
- Provide leadership and direction to subordinate supervisors related to all aspects of train operations;
- Perform operational audits on the train service and the operating crews;
- Ensure all crew related incidents are properly reported and investigated with appropriate action taken to prevent a recurrence with full report to the General Manager.


As our ideal candidate:

- You have minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar role;
- You have five (5) years of experience in management, NORAC rules qualified and crew management experience;
- You have ten (10) years of combined experience in commuter rail and freight railroad operations;
- You have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
