In your role, you will:

- Provide support and guidance to business on all employee relations inquiries, including policies, grievance procedure, corrective action, and any other collective agreement stipulations

- Provide day to day HR guidance to line management and production operators via presence on production floor

- Manage and resolve complex employee and labour relations issues. Conducts effective, objective and comprehensive investigations

- Partner with business in providing leaders with skills, methodologies and overall coaching to expertly manage employees, both unionized and non-unionized

- Ensure HR Cycle is followed and adhered to by executing all key milestones

- Maintain knowledge of multiple business units’ operations and its strategic role within the organization

- Participate in ongoing HR initiatives and projects to enhance HR services to the business, including management of workforce planning

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have five (5) years or more of relevant Human Resources experience in a Generalist role, specifically, in a Manufacturing unionized environment. Labor Relations experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset

- You have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management. Certified Human Resources Leader designation (CHRL) preferred

- You are a seasoned practitioner who is able to work with minimal supervision

- You are skilled at identifying the needs in development and working closely with the business to propose appropriate solutions and creative interventions

- You are a team player, change agent, project manager and you are able to manage several demanding clients simultaneously

- You have a high level of customer orientation; strong oral and written communication skills and are autonomous and dynamic in nature

- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications. HRIS systems knowledge such as SAP or other are considered an asset
