In your role, you will:

- Be responsible for ensuring on-time presentation of material to the production line including shortage management, kitting and point of use part management.

- Manage and administer the activities of unionized employees with respect to both planning and material handling activities in-line with business objectives, on time, within budget and quality.
- Supervise employees in their execution of responsibilities as defined by Bombardier Manufacturing Systems for Material Planning and Material Handling.
- Ensure proper reporting and daily management of shortages at load and follow-on aircraft through eShort and communicated at DMM’s.
- Roll-out and maintain line-side material presentation strategy including kitting, racking, transportation dollies etc.
- Ensure overall part management on the floor including timely credits.
- Monitor activities in compliance to the Bombardier Manufacturing Systems Practices.
- Oversee the schedule of material to support Production.
- Utilize AES tools involving the shop floor and office teams to ensure best practices within their respective areas.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a diploma or University degree in business or related field.

- You have minimum five (5) years’ experience in Inventory Planning/Material Handling; aerospace industry preferred.
- You must be able to foster a sense of teamwork and excellence in the workplace.
- You are able to demonstrate leadership skills combined with excellent communication;
- You are able to demonstrate developed interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with a variety of individuals from different departments and other organizations
- You are able to demonstrate ethical behavior, accountability & teamwork
- You must possess strong organizational skills and have a good understanding of customer / supplier relations;
- You must be pro-active, results-oriented and strive for continued improvement; experience with lean tools and processes would be considered an asset.
- You have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project within a Windows environment.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset.
- You must be flexible and able to work various shifts
