Description

Based in Toronto, Ontario, you will support the Engineering Project Manager in management of the Engineering at the site where the product is being put in service. This will include, monitor the Fleet Reliability issues, support in the investigation of the problems with the Product Introduction (PI) Technical Team and obtain the engineering functions and associated suppliers support as required for a timely resolution of those issues. You will also be involved in coordination of activities with the FRACAS team for all FRACAS activities that will be required on site.

You will be required to fully understand all functionalities of the vehicles and be able to operate it.

In your role you will:

- Manage, plan, follow-up and distribute the engineering work at the site where the vehicle is being put in service. Coordinate daily activities with Product Support Manager through regular meetings/calls;
- Raise and Monitor Fleet Reliability Issues and support PI in training PI staff to: 1) understand the vehicle functionalities, 2) Trouble shooting, 3) Report on failure issues daily;
- Ensure that the project objectives with regards to performance, documentation, quality, schedule, and costs are met for Engineering scope;
- Write containment plans for new technical issues as they arise;
- As a member of the FRACAS team, coordinate support from engineering functions and suppliers;
- Setup and test prototype solutions (hardware and software) on the account of Engineering.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a university degree in Engineering;
- You have minimum five (5) years of experience in Bombardier project environment with strong technical involvement;
- You have been in a role that interface with several functions (i.e., Project Management, Procurement, Methods, Operations, PI, other Divisions;
- You have strong communication skills to deal with Customer, suppliers and various functions;}
- You are skilled in use of Microsoft Office tools, and standard test instruments;
- You are familiar using test data capturing tools;
- You are fluent in English and you have an intermediate level in French.

Additional information: you must be able to travel to both Kingston and St. Bruno sites on a regular basis.
