With an average of over 300 sunny days per year, Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Tucson Service Center is surrounded by stunning mountain ranges and desert landscapes. Celebrating over 40 years of operations in Tucson, Arizona, the service center occupies almost 1 million sq ft of total hangar space and is the largest of Bombardier’s nine aircraft service centers. The facility services both Bombardier commercial and business aircraft. Since its inauguration in 1976, the facility has been located at Tucson International Airport, a strategic location and a key local partner. The 247,000 sq ft Business Aircraft facility is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, including interior modifications, avionics installations, customized exterior paint, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. The Service Center has received certifications from CAAC, FAA, EASA, Argentina (Military), Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Qatar and South Africa.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible to lead all human resources activities for the business aircraft service center in direct partnership with the local management team, employees and with the global HR organization. This role supports approximately 280 employees and is based in Tucson, Arizona. It reports to the Human Resources Director, OEM Parts and Services located in Dallas, Texas. The HRBP will be asked to work on HR projects and process improvement initiatives related to enhancing the performance of the HR organization in support of the business.

In your role, you will:
• Work with Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment strategies to build robust candidate pipelines for all service center roles mainly focused on aircraft technicians
• Work on global and local employee engagement initiatives that involves continuously monitoring the pulse of the workforce and working in collaboration with management and employees on action plans
• Work with local management on talent management and succession planning efforts
• Provide counsel to management and employees on all HR and employment related matters
• Lead and/or support all on-site investigations and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and act as the Designated Employer Representative for the Federal Drug and Alcohol program
• Proactively lead efforts related to affirmative action and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace
• Work in conjunction with the training coordinator to develop site training plans
• Partner with local schools on internship programs and new graduate recruitment
• Support HR processes as it relates to Performance Management, Talent and Succession Management, Compensation Management, Talent Acquisition, Annual Employee Survey
• Develop and manage key HR metrics for the site and develop improvement plans
• Maintain employee files and manage all administrative aspects related to HR processes and the employee life cycle


As our ideal candidate,

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development or a related discipline. A master's degree in a pertinent discipline would be an asset.
• You have at least eight (8) years of experience as a Human Resources professional, ideally in an international company and with a similar clientele.
• You have experience managing projects ideally, complex HR projects involving change management
• You have demonstrated the ability of playing an advisor role and displayed your leadership, your capacity to navigate in grey areas and your ability to adapt to changing and unforeseen priorities.
• You have demonstrated impact and influence and are able to position yourself, even in ambiguous situations, to support your business partners in making informed decisions.
• You have interpersonal skills and demonstrate professional maturity.
• You are able to question the status quo and demonstrate initiative, creativity and proactivity to ensure the evolution of the HR services.
• You have demonstrated teamwork abilities and are at ease with giving coaching.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
