The group employs some 800 people in Italy. 600 people are located in Vado Ligure, the plant set up in 1905 where close to 2,000 locomotives have been manufactured to date. 200 people work at its engineering centre in Rome, dedicated to the development of rail control solutions, signaling equipment and rail traffic management systems.

For the depot in Milan, we are currently looking to recruit a Fleet Maintenance Management Operational Referent (m/f)


The purpose of the Fleet Maintenance Management Operational Referent is to ensure the ECM (entity in charge of maintenance) function C.

He/she is the first interface to those who contribute to the maintenance of the single rolling stock (Operational Representatives of Railway Undertakings, the Maintenance Execution Function, the Maintenance Development Function and the Contractor Companies) regarding the Fleet Maintenance Management Function.


Maintain the proper composition and transmission of maintenance documentation and relevant information for the implementation of maintenance in terms of completeness to those who contribute to the maintenance of the single rolling stock (operating representatives of Railway Undertakings, Maintenance Operation Functions, the Development Maintenance Department and the Contractor Companies);

Maintain the complete composition and transmission of the documentation and information regarding the requirements, i.e the technical qualifications of the organization performing the maintenance function, to those who contribute to the maintenance of the single rolling stock (operating representatives of the Railway Undertaking and Maintenance Development Function);

Apply vehicle maintenance files (maintenance records);

Transfer to the Maintenance Function information about maintenance activities performed, field returns such as but not limited to defects, accidents, incidents and kilometres travelled;

On a periodic basis, defined by the Maintenance Manager, collects index data that measures its effectiveness;

Manage all the documentation and record all the information in the MyBTFleet maintenance management tool;

Manage the planning of maintenance, coordinate and arrange the withdrawal of the rolling stock from the exercise and the re-entry into operation of the rolling stock.


- Engineering or technical degree (preferred)

- Previous experience in the railway sector

- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role, working close to the ECM rules

- Knowledge of MyBTFleet or similar maintenance management tools would be a plus

- Very Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Analytical and flexible

- Good problem solving skills
