Reporting: Head of Service Locomotive Europe (SLE)

Location: Vado Ligure, Italy

Position: New

As a Material Management Coordinator you have the chance to become part of the global team. You will be responsible for supporting the procurement channels and managing profitable strategic partnerships and alliances within Bombardier to ensure that the Service Locomotives Europe properly support the BT Cargo business’ growth plan within the market place. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you would be responsible for:

• Supporting the procurement channels in the roll-out of new business opportunities with new and existing strategic customers, working closely with the Procurement Leads in each country covered by the SLE;

• Managing profitable strategic partnerships and alliances within Bombardier;

• Ensuring all Material Management activities for assigned projects including sourcing, negotiations, contract preparation and follow up, bids & tenders governance on Costed Bill of Material.

• Proposing saving initiatives with bottom-line impact within scope of work.

• Constant communication with peers within the global organization to ensure alignment and maximization of synergy through:

Attending the project core meetings providing material management support and commitment in all project phases (bid, execution, warranty, after warranty);

Follow the procuring material after negotiation according to scope, budget, timeframe and assigned overall savings while improving supply chain costs and reducing inventory levels in warehouses in Italy and abroad;

Drive and/or monitor the comparison and analysing offers from suppliers;

Monitor that STCs are negotiated and maintained for all relevant preventive materials;

Actively support in the issuing RfQs, Pos, Long Term Supplier agreements;

Creating interfaces with other Product Lines and Functions;

Managing and developing supplier base relationship at international level;

Support local team on: claims and suppliers' specific relations, on Bids C-BoM definition and preparation;

Push for second sourcing processes for service contracts, and challenging global procurement to concentrate more on service activities;

Follow and support, verifying procedures and time schedule, the GPC competence centre for activities related to SLE scope.

Qualifications

• Very solid background in SCM (Supply Chain Management)

• Good understanding of complex T&C and partner structures

• Experience in analysis and redefinition of company processes

• Good common technical understanding

• Ability to lead and coordinate without formal authority

• Excellent problem solving and analytic skills

• Knowledge of Quality management system

• Flexibility, communication and intercultural skills

• Italian and English at a fluent level is mandatory, German would be a plus

• Familiarity with Excel, SAP
