The candidate is responsible for developing, technically supervising and performing engineering duties relating to the Service IT & EMEA Onboard and Wayside Digital Solution domain.
The candidate has to manage technical matters related to Maintenance technologies (onboard and wayside) to support the FM contracts for the Italian Legacy fleets, ETR1000 and TRAXX locomotives and for the possible ALM projects.
In detail the candidate shall:
• Manage and coordinate the team dedicated to analysis and validation of the diagnostic and CBM data;
• Support the Cargo and High-Speed Train FM project engineers and maintenance staff to analyse of vehicle’s subsystem diagnostic data and design appropriate indicator to estimate the Remaining Useful Life parameters;
• Manage and coordinate TCMS software modification for legacy fleets;
• Interface with Bombardier Transportation’s and suppliers’ system engineers to define the TCMS vehicle architecture that enable the collection, elaboration and transmission of CBM data;
• Support the validation of the end to end process (data acquisition, model implementation, algorithm implementation and trigger of the alert, impact on the maintenance service) supporting also the modification of the maintenance regime;
• Technically supervise internal/external resources;
• Support and interface with final customer technical staff.


1. Diagnostic and CBM system engineer for the Italian FM projects on TRAXX and ETR1000 Fleets, with focus on:
• Interface with the product families engineer for diagnostic and reliability improvement and for the CBM implementation;
• Manage the CR with the PF for TCMS and subsystem services relevant improvement;

2. Diagnostic and CBM system engineer for the Italian FM and ALM projects on Legacy fleets, with focus on:
• Lead and manage the TCMS update to support the diagnostic, functionalities and reliability improvement and for CBM implementation;

3. Integration & Validation Strategy Execution:
• Assure the maintenance technology integration and validation strategy. Work with the work package owners to ensure that the system level validation strategies and schedules are harmonised with the programme level strategy and schedule based on the Engineering V-Cycle;
• Ensure that that the maintenance technology integration and validation strategy is harmonised with maintenance and operational concept;

4. Requirements Management and Realisation:
• Ensure that all user requirements are captured and allocated within their respective work package;
• Develop governance to manage any requirements risks.



• Technical education in the field of electronic, electrical or software engineering required;
• Senior relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in railway industry. Alternatively, in aerospace or automation industry;
• Proven experience in software embedded design for complex diagnostics data management systems;
• Proven experience in railway TCMS with strong focus on diagnostic architecture and design;
• Experience in railway vehicle subsystems architecture and performances;
• Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships across divisions and organizations;
• Established technical project management knowledge and experience with relevant qualification;
• Proven history of delivery and project execution - preferably from a software/infrastructure background;
• Ability to build, manage and work efficiently in multi-disciplinary teams;
• The candidate has to also like to work independently on complex tasks in interdisciplinary and international teams located in different sites;
• High degree of self-motivation;
• Problem solving attitude: the candidate has to identify and resolve complex technical issues;
• Good analytical skills;
• Language skills: Advanced/business fluent level of English and Italian is required
