For our sites in Zürich and Villeneuve, Switzerland we are currently looking to recruit two flexible and experienced

Project Commercial Manager (m/f)

The Project Commercial Manager is responsible to lead the Project Core Team in the management of the commercial, contractual and claim aspects of Customer and Supplier Contract(s). The Project Commercial Manager provides the knowledge and tools to follow the contractual obligations and monitors their application in the Project Core Team. He or she ensures that Bombardier Transportation’s rights resulting from contractual changes are properly captured and exercised.

Your Tasks

Key focus is on establishing and managing throughout the project lifecycle an obligation management matrix containing all contractual obligations towards and from the customer

Provide training on the necessary commercial and contractual knowledge and skills to Project Core Team members enabling them performing their scope of work.

Support and provide guidance to Procurement concerning contractual issues involving Purchase Contracts (e.g. the placement of major Purchase Contracts, supplier non-conformity and variation order requests) and lead the preparation of major claims involving suppliers.

Define and implement, jointly with the Project Director and the Commercial Director, the external communication management process for the project ensuring that all communication to and from the customer is sent in accordance with the requirements of the contract and BT’s guidelines and directives.


Preferably a degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying or Business or a combination of these.

Tertiary qualification and proven commercial / operational experience.

5–7 years / 2–3 years of experience respectively in a relevant role, ideally in similar business areas (e.g. railways, construction, oil and gas, technology, energy).

Good understanding of basic concepts and procedures in own discipline.

Solving straightforward problems, analyzing possible solutions using acquired experience and judgement and applying existing guidelines.

Exchanging ideas and information in concise and logical way when interacting with colleagues.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
