About the Role:

The Project Improvement and Governance Lead will be responsible for coordinating the identification and implementation of financial and project performance improvement initiatives on the Service Contracts in Victoria and interstate including South Australia, as well as providing the governance lead to all functions pertaining to BT PRO requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for ensuring compliance to the PRO requirements of the relevant Services contract including regular internal monitoring and reporting. In addition, this role will lead the preparation and reviews for PRO Audits and Gate Reviews.
- Lead regular Change Management, ROP and MEP reviews including workshops and the development and implementation of Business Cases accordingly, including ensuring that all changes, risks and opportunities are quantified and appropriately using the applicable Bombardier tools.
- Support contract amendments & variations, with a lead role in respect of identifying and compiling all information pertaining to cost recovery and opportunities
- Build strategy plans according to the business requirements
- Lead the MOR / Project Review pack development for the teams
- Build strong and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including key suppliers
- Ensure that all Core Team Members have a thorough understanding of and comply with PRO requirements
- Provide a support role to the Head of Services Execution as required from time to time, and share best practice with other Services sites across Asia / Australia
- Lead the application of the PRO Processes and including the use of the respective BT tools, and support other Services sites across Asia / Australia as required
- Seek continuous improvement to identify, implement and track initiatives relating to project improvement initiatives.
- Review all arguments, calculations, opinions, and challenge the respective functions to mitigate risk where possible.
- Ensure, together with the Project Controller (Finance), prepare monthly finance reviews with all functions, highlighting risks and improvements
- Perform duties and projects as directed by line manager or as required for the role

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

- Degree qualified, preferably master’s level
- Relevant qualifications (legal, contracts, financial or commercial fields)
- Relevant experience in Project Management
- Strong financial knowledge and experience in Risk Management and seeking & implementing opportunities in which improvements to margin are a driver
- Operational experience would be a benefit
- Strong understanding and keen interest in project and financial management, including fundamentals of a contract, contract T&C and roles and
- Proven relationship management with Customers and Suppliers
