Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
In your role, you will
- Learn about the safety standards within the aviation maintenance facility.
- Shadow Licensed Engineers and Mechanics as they troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on Bombardier aircraft.
- Complete practical activities relating to different hand skills you will be required to use as an engineer
- Understand how work is performed and documents are reviewed in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations
- Participate in a CV writing workshop and complete an interview at the end of the week

- You are able to demonstrate a keen interest in engineering or aviation through extra curriculum activities.
- You are able currently taking STEM subjects
- Be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
- You are willing to get involved with different activities
- Able to reflect on your learned experiences
