In your role, you will:

-
1. Fly onboard experimental aircraft as a crewmember following appropriate training.

2. Operate all cabin experimental provisions and mission specific test instrumentation, while conducting tests and recording results.

3. Communicate and coordinate with other disciplines for all activities related to testing.

4. Develop test documents and reports, including technical review and generation of test plans, test hazard analysis, instructions, test limitations and post flight reports.

5. Coordinate the test aircraft and experimental equipment configuration to meet test requirements.

6. Design and develop safety critical real time data displays and derived parameters.

7. Maximize use of the test aircraft through efficient test planning and execution.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent) or have previous experience within a flight test engineering organization. Product specific development and training will be provided prior to being scheduled for regular flight crew duties.

- You have previous flying experience (pilot or other crew member) (preferred)

- You have the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations. Strong leadership qualities and communication skills, both verbal and written are an asset.

- You have a demonstrated capacity to prioritize, manage and absorb large quantities of data and information.

- You have the ability to work with a variety of IT tools and equipment. Exposure to the uses of programming for automation and workload reduction (or the demonstrated ability to learn) is an asset.

- You may be required to work irregular work hours (including weekends on occasion) and may require travel in the future

- You are able to obtain maintain an FAA Class 3 Medical Certificate or equivalent.

- You have previous experience with flight test procedures and requirements, along with familiarity with Part 25 (or equivalent) certification processes and procedures (preferred).
