You will be part of the Product Development Engineering team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s), for example, performance review and feedback, opportunities for professional development and growth, and personnel decisions concerning hire, fire, disciplinary issues, and salary adjustments
- Lead the Flight Test Team(s) to define and execute the Project Plan including SOW, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting
- Serve as Program Champion and focal for all related program activities and assigned aircraft
- Monitor/Oversee team task progress & reporting to the Business Unit on an ongoing basis and through formal status reports
- Provide/Oversee daily updates to the Sr. Management team
- Liaison with other Chiefs of FTT to harmonize priorities and resolve issues between FTT’s
- Provide input to the composite schedule
- Lead the FTT in the day-to-day execution of tasks
- Review team task progress and address any variances which may exist
- Coordinate FTT working schedules based upon project demands and priorities
- Attend debriefs or delegate attendance if unable to attend
- Assist in developing the annual operating plan for the FTT
- Update Bombardier Engineering System (BES) Flight Test Project manuals to reflect best practice

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You must have 8+ years of Engineering, Project management, or Management experience
- You must have 5 years experience in a flight test environment
- You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience
- You must have a basic knowledge of accounting principles necessary to develop and manage budget, for example, capital improvements, depreciation, and forecasting expenditures
- You must have a working knowledge of Engineering principles, concepts, and standards
- You must have a working knowledge of industry practices and regulations including FARs, advisory circulars and orders
- You must have demonstrated experience as a leader of a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment
- You must have the planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting
- You must have the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management and contractors
- You must have proficient computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
- You must have the customer service skills necessary to understand customer operations and requirements
- You must have presentation and facilitation skills
- You must have verbal and written communication skills

Addintional Preferred Qualifications

- You should have a basic knowledge of functional responsibilities and internal processes of groups supporting the change management process, for example, Engineering, Customer Support, Spares, and Technical Publications
- You should have a working knowledge of Bombardier Aerospace engineering processes and procedures
- You should have a working knowledge of Bombardier products
- You should have Project Management qualification from recognized institution
- You should have a technical experience background
- You should have an A&P License
