In your role, you will:

- Prepare pro forma (i.e., individual entity) and consolidated U.S. Federal and State income and franchise tax returns

- Prepare quarterly estimates and extensions for U.S. Federal and State income and franchise tax returns

- Calculate and document income tax provision

- Provide support for IRS and State audits, for example, research and analyze requested audit information, develop audit procedures

- Provide guidance and answers to questions and information requests concerning tax issues that arise on a daily or regular basis, for example, respond to notices, research tax issues

- Develop recommendations for tax procedures and processes

- Coordinate deadlines and information requests related to tax filings

- Assist other tax areas as needed

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You possess a Bachelors in Accounting or closely related field

- You have 7+ years of tax experience in a large corporate tax department or public accounting firm

- You have a CPA Or Masters in Tax (preferred)

- You have a working knowledge of U.S. Federal, State, and Local income and franchise tax law

- You have a working knowledge of U.S. corporate consolidated return regulations and previous experience preparing consolidated corporate income and franchise tax returns

- You have a working knowledge of U.S. financial statements income tax provision methodology (FAS 109)

- You have a working knowledge of tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource)

- You have a working knowledge of tax research software (e.g., RIA checkpoint, CCH AnswerConnect) and tax research and analytical skills necessary to identify issues, facts, and laws to determine tax consequences

- You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

- You have computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, tax, and internet-based applications

- You have verbal and written communication skills

- You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas, and governmental agencies
