For our team in Vienna, we are currently looking to recruit a Cost Coordinator (m/f). In this role, you collect, analyse and manage the direct product costs of light rail vehicles for a specific Product Family. The Product Family Cost Manager coordinates cross-functional product cost improvement initiatives and follows up on the financial part and development costs in case of new product developments.

Main responsibilities:

- Leadership for cost modelling of the variant product families of Light Rail Vehicles globally
- Analyse product-specific costs and collect cost information
- Constantly monitor product costs and drive cost optimization
- Provide product cost input during bid preparation as well as relevant benchmark data from current projects/products/
building blocks
- Establish product cost overviews
- Benchmark vehicle and sub-system costs
- Participate in cost improvement initiatives, focussing on design-to-cost, operations, supply management
- Create business cases for vehicle or sub-system development projects and monitor actuals
- Estimate costs for new products and solutions based on references (material, operations, engineering etc.)
- Maintain the product base costs and provide them to all functions, such as Product Family Managers, Bids, Chief Engineers


- Master or Bachelor degree in a technical or commercial course of studies, preferably industrial engineering
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cost management in a project-driven, multi-cultural environment
- IT skills in MS Office (deep Excel knowledge required) and SAP
- Responsibility, independent way of working and ability to work in a team
- Ability to connect and challenge data (validity) from different sources
- Passion and drive for results
- Resilience, cost-awareness
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in German and English

According to the collective agreement, the minimum salary for this role is € 2.783,42 gross/month (14 times a year) based on full-time employment. Depending on relevant professional experience and/or qualifications, the actual salary will be higher.
