Loads, Dynamics & Aeroelasticity Analysis Specialist (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced aerospace engineering contractor to support the migration of Loads and Dynamics analysis processes from legacy MSC software tools to Siemens Simcenter NASTRAN solution. The objective of this mandate is to reproduce historical certification analyses and results generated using MSC tools, validate equivalent Siemens-based workflows, document differences, and establish approved replacement methodologies for future programs
What are your contributions to the team?
- Reproduce historical loads, aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity and dynamic landing analyses using Siemens Simcenter NASTRAN.
- Execute and validate SOL 103, 112, 144, 145 and 146 analyses against certified MSC NASTRAN results.
- Compare, correlate and document differences between MSC and Siemens results.
- Update and validate legacy DMAP workflows where required.
- Support migration of flutter, ASE, gust loads (TDG & PSD) and dynamic landing methodologies.
- Prepare technical memos, validation reports and correlation studies.
- Develop recommendations to replace MSC-based processes and ensure long-term supportability.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to Bombardier engineering teams
How to thrive in this role?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace loads, dynamics, aeroelasticity or certification analyses.
- Strong experience with MSC Nastran and Siemens Simcenter NASTRAN.
- Experience with NASTRAN Op2 output format
- Knowledge of flutter, aeroservoelasticity, TDG/PSD gust loads and landing loads analyses.
- Experience with DMAP, finite element methods and structural dynamics.
- Experience with MSC ADAMS or equivalent multibody dynamics tools is an asset.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for engineering analysis.
- Strong analytical, technical writing and communication skills
