What are your contributions to the team?
Automated Operations Management
- Monitor and control automated operations from the G2 operator stations.
- Start, stop, and monitor production cycles according to operational requirements.
- Track the progress of carriers and workloads being processed.
- Verify the proper execution of treatment recipes.
- Perform authorized system interventions to ensure continuity of operations.
Equipment Monitoring
- Monitor the operation of automated equipment, including:
- Overhead cranes
- Conveyors
- Treatment tanks
- Lifts/elevators
- Furnaces
- Auxiliary ATS process equipment
- Quickly identify equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions.
- Respond to alarms and implement corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.
Management of Abnormal Situations
- Identify equipment failures and production bottlenecks.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and verification.
- Document operational events and incidents.
- Escalate issues to maintenance personnel or ATS specialists when required.
- Participate in restart activities following maintenance or corrective interventions.
Coordination with Teams
- Collaborate with production operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and the automation team.
- Communicate critical information during shift handovers.
- Participate in the follow-up of events affecting production performance.
Health, Safety, and Quality
- Comply with all safety procedures applicable to the department.
- Ensure adherence to established processing requirements for parts and components.
- Contribute to operational traceability and recordkeeping.
- Report any situation that may impact quality, safety, or production integrity.
How to thrive in this role?
Education
- College diploma (DEC) or equivalent.
- Technical training in manufacturing, industrial processes, or automation is considered an asset.
Experience
- Experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating industrial processes or supervising automated equipment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ATS operations or surface treatment processes is a strong asset.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a production environment.
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Sound judgment and strong prioritization skills.
- Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of industrial computer systems and automation technologies.
Working Conditions
- Work performed in both a control room and production environments.
- Schedule may include rotating shifts or various work schedules.
- Occasional presence on the shop floor to validate operational situations and equipment status.
- Ongoing collaboration with production, maintenance, and automation teams.
