This position is open to candidates currently based in the UAE; relocation support is not available.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead and oversee daily aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with customer requirements, Bombardier policies, OEM technical instructions, and applicable aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and prioritize manpower, workload, overtime, and task assignments while optimizing the utilization of personnel, tooling, equipment, hangar space, materials, and technical resources.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, ensuring tasks are performed competently, accurately, and in compliance with approved maintenance data and procedures.
  • Supervise and certify maintenance activities, ensuring all maintenance actions, inspections, rectifications, and release to service activities are completed in accordance with organizational authorizations and airworthiness requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, constraints, defects, and operational challenges, and escalate issues proactively to Project Managers and stakeholders to support timely resolution and successful project execution.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of maintenance documentation, work packages, work cards, technical records, turnover reports, and regulatory records to satisfy customer, quality, and audit requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety, quality, compliance, and risk management culture by ensuring adherence to aviation regulations, Safety Management System (SMS) requirements, environmental standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct and support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, corrective actions, and continuous compliance initiatives to maintain operational and regulatory excellence.
  • Mentor, develop, and support team members through coaching, training, knowledge sharing, and performance guidance, fostering technical proficiency, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Review project work scopes and participate in project planning, pre induction, post project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, project teams, support functions, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure clear communication, timely decision making, and delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure effective control of aircraft parts, components, materials, and maintenance resources, including verification of serviceability, parts utilization, material returns, and cost conscious operational practices.
  • Support management in achieving operational objectives by driving flawless project execution, maintaining high housekeeping standards, ensuring workforce discipline, and promoting Bombardier's commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the delegated operational focal point in the absence of the Project Manager, providing leadership, decision making, and oversight to ensure continuity of maintenance operations and project delivery.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold an GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B2 and/or C
  • You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
  • You have operated as an experienced licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 8+ years of experience of Bombardier Aircraft type i.e. Global & Challenger series.
  • Minimum two (2) years leadership/supervisor experience in an aircraft maintenance.
  • You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
  • You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
  • You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations.
  • You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
  • You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
  • You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status.
  • You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment.
  • You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
  • Able to work in shifts and occasional night shifts ( if required).
  • Able to travel for business needs on short notice.
