Purpose of the job

Responsible for defining the solutions for the power supply integration scope in terms of HV, MV, and LV. and Traction power with awareness of the different industry established standards.
Responsible for defining the solutions for the traction power supply distribution scope in terms Conductor Rail System to be implemented.
Awareness of the different industry established standards.
Other required knowledge: Earthing and Bonding, EMC, traction power distribution: OCS and Conductor Rail System. Power interlock and protection scheme.
Assigned to support bids and projects proposing solution for the power supply scopes of work. Offer technical assistance to project on the Railway Power Supply Distribution System
The function will require business travels/missions on regular basis, depending on bids/projects needs.

Key responsibilities
1. Producing technical notes and documentations conductor rail system to be offered for the Bids.
Review customer Requirement for the power supply integration and conductor rail scope to assimilate the data and formulate a proposal as well as for clarifications.
Review/prepare all necessary design contract requirements for Traction Power system. Implement “workaround” plans to mitigate adverse effects of delays on the contract schedule.
Coordinate all concept design activities for power supply and distribution of all internal/external suppliers and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of design documentation and any other input (Compliance matrix / RAMS) for Traction Power scope.
Review and assess any power supply and distribution document from customer or potential suppliers.
2. Integrating the power supply system and the conductor rail system with other railway systems.
Interface with partners to ensure Bombardier interface requirements are understood and met for Traction Power and conductor system scope of work.
Interact between with partners and subcontractors and home office staff. Ensure each party is fed designs to review and that comments are incorporated.
Interface with parties (subsystems design leads) to ensure fully completion of relevant ICD (Interface Control Document) between Conductor Rail System scope and other sub-systems and partners.
3. Responsible to provide/review testing procedures for relevant systems (Traction Power system and conductor rail system) to Testing & Commissioning team.
Provide/Review the specification of tests that are necessary to confirm successful system integration
Ensure the integration and factory testing of the products at subsystem and integrated system levels, ensuring the Conductor Rail system is properly integrated and fit to support introduction to service.
4 Prepare power supply document template for tendering process and potential supplier selection.
Review on a technical aspect any potential proposed changes to a baseline design a produce an impact assessment report.
5. Support development of any specified tools, test equipment, training materials, and other enabling products necessary to efficient contract delivery of signalling and control system scopes.
